Hi, I’m Delaney!

Glad you’re here! I’m the Director of Operations & Client Development at COGNELITE, with a Masters degree in Educational Psychology. I’m a lifelong athlete turned coach, and a strong believer in the value of athletics for every individual.

My enthusiasm for helping athletes perform at their best is what drew me into the mental sport performance field. At Cognelite, I focus on connecting athletes, families, and organizations with the resources and support they need to perform at their highest level. I am deeply invested in expanding access to mental performance services and ensuring that athletes are equipped not just physically, but mentally, to navigate pressure, setbacks, and high-performance environments.

My Athletic Background

Growing up, I was driven to become a well-rounded athlete, ultimately specializing in field hockey and lacrosse in high school. I went on to compete in five seasons of Division I Women’s Lacrosse at Kent State University.

An ACL tear prior to my sophomore season led to a complex and challenging recovery process. That experience fundamentally shaped my understanding of resilience, identity, and the often overlooked mental side of performance. It ultimately fueled my commitment to helping athletes recognize the value of building support systems early, so they are equipped to handle challenges with confidence when they arise.

My Academic Background

My academic foundation in psychology and education supports my work in athlete development and performance environments. I earned my Master’s in Educational Psychology, and my Bachelors in Psychology from Kent State University.
In my studies, I learned the value of educational motivation, theories of learning and development, and psychological foundations of health, behavior, and cognition.

  • Head Coach & Program Director, Newport Harbor High School

  • Club Lacrosse Coach, working with elite-level athletes

  • College Recruiting Coordinator, guiding athletes and families through the college recruiting process
